Key Digital® started 2015 by attending Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) in Amsterdam on February 10-12, 2015 and Nightclub and Bar Tradeshow in Las Vegas, NV on March 30 to April 1, 2015. AV Custom Systems, Inc. – 1st Presbyterian Church of Arlington Heights, IL
The 1st Presbyterian Church of Arlington Heights, IL commissioned AV Custom Systems, Inc. to create a multi-application system for their new pastor. Their objective was to view powerpoints, pictures, maps, videos from many different devices.
The system had 4 displays, 2 Sharp 90" PNR-903's and 2 LG 32" LB5800! Key Digital KD-8x4CS matrix switcher was used for PC, Apple TV, BrightSign Digital Signage, Panasonic IP network camera to view the organist and Barco Clickshare! The control system consists of a RTI XP6, with CX7 Tabletop Controller installed above the pews on the sound board desk and 2 mobile iPads. Key Digital KD-1x2CS was used as a last minute add on of the Sony CCD webcast camera. The final system had several flexible options for the church to incorporate in any format they like. |

Q: |
I am interested in controlling the cable box with IR from Key Digital extenders. What do I need to do that? |
A: |
We are excited to announce that in Q2 of 2015 Key Digital will release an all-new family of extenders that will supply power to the IR sensor connected to the IR In port. This means that no extra hardware is required as Key Digital will even supply the IR Sensor in the package. The first extenders released will be KD-X400ProK, KD-X400POHK, KD-X600ProK, and KD-X1000ProK.
Right now, achieving reverse IR through current products (KD-CATHD300Lite and KD-CATHD500Pro) requires an IR connecting block, such as the KD-IRKIT300 to power the reverse IR signal. First you will connect a mono 3.5mm cable into the IR emitter port of the IR connecting block to the Rx IR port on the Rx of the baluns set. Consequently, on the Tx of the baluns set you will plug in the IR emitter into the Tx IR port. |
Q: |
I need a matrix switcher; do I have to purchase a KD-MC1000 to complete a Compass Control® project? |
A: |
To complete a project featuring Compass Control®, you can use one of our KD-HDLite switches. The KD-HD4x4Lite, KD-HD6x6Lite, or KD-HD8x8Lite switches have a master controller built in and are just as simple to implement while programming your project.
In fact, the KD-HD4x4Lite is a 16port master controller, the KD-HD6x6Lite is a 26port master controller, and the KD-HD8x8Lite is a 32port master controller.
All you need is the KD-CSLX1 license and your programming to have a complete integration system! |
