KD-IQJUMP12FM is sold in packs of 4 and has a few very beneficial functionalities.  It can be used along with any Key Digital HDMI cable up to 75ft long.

Firstly, we use KD-IQJUMP12FM to extract IR or bi-directional control from any HDMI input or HDMI output of our Digital IQ Series matrix switchers with built-in Compass Control Master Controller.  It is used in this fashion because IR or bi-directional RS-232 is embedded onto the HDMI connector (in addition to the Expansion I/O ports and the included KD-CATHD250POHRx HDBaseT output extenders) to add 8, 12, or 16 control ports to the KD-HD4x4Lite, KD-HD6x6Lite, or KD-HD8x8Lite respectively.

Secondly, the cable can be inserted on both ends of your standard Key Digital HDMI cables to embed and extract IR or bi-directional control signals, digital PCM, or analog mono audio signals.

Thirdly, the cable can be used on either end of a standard Key Digital HDMI cable in order to disable CEC, ARC, and Ethernet over HDMI signals.  Simply, connect into the 3.5mm female connector and those signal are shorted and do not pass-thru from end to end of the HDMI cable.  This can be very useful to integrators that are encountering CEC related issues (i.e. Blu-ray player undesirably turns off when TV is powered down)

POE (Power over Ethernet) is a popular request and Key Digital is proud to announce that we have recently begun implementing such a technology.  Our latest HDBaseT extender release, KD-CATHD250POH, features POH (power over HDBaseT) for the Rx end.  This is very beneficial because the integrator no longer has to struggle to find the space for the wall-wart power supply to plug in behind the display.  The Rx end takes its power from the Tx side, which is either the KD-CATHD250POHTx (if you have purchased model # KD-CATHD250POH) or one of our Digital IQ series matrix switchers KD-HD4x4Lite, KD-HD6x6Lite, or KD-HD8x8Lite (the necessary 4, 6, or 8 Rx ends are included in the package for each matrix). Additionally, you can look for this convenient technology to be implemented in future products.

HDBaseT is a third-party technology that many manufacturers of video integration solutions are implementing.  Key Digital has made many improvements upon the HDBaseT specifications to deliver the most powerful and robust extender set available in the market.  Specifically, having implemented our Full Buffer Technology into our FatCAT Series™ HDMI/HDBaseT extenders presents some huge benefits. 

• EDID authentication to the connected source from Key Digital's software buffer (KD-CATHD300Lite, KD-CATHD500Pro)
• HDCP authentication to the connected source and display from Key Digital's software buffer (KD-CATHD300Lite, KD-CATHD500Pro)
• TMDS re-clocking of the incoming signal on Tx and Rx ends (KD-CATHD250Lite, KD-CATHD250POH, KD-CATHD300Lite, KD-CATHD500Pro)
