Q: Does unit send the Digital Audio signal that's on the HDMI input to the Digital Audio (Toslink and Coaxial) outputs?
A:

No, the Toslink and Coaxial Digital Audio outputs are fed only from the corresponding inputs on this unit.

Q: Does the unit have RS232 or IT control capability?
A:
  • Yes, you can control the unit with any RS232 or IR control system. You can find a list of RS232 commands here.
  • The unit ships with an IR remote control that you can use to learn your IR control system. Additionally, you can also find a downloadable CCF file here to load into your IR control system software to upload into your universal remote control.
  • The unit can also be controlled via IR Serial data with the IR Serial port on the back of the unit.
Q: Does the unit support 1080P resolutions?
A:

Yes, the unit will pass signals up to 1080P.

Q: Does the unit convert Analog Audio signals into Digital Audio?
A:

No. The unit acts only as a switcher and does not process analog signals into digital signals. If you input analog audio, then only the analog audio outputs will be active.

Q: The unit seems to switch intermittently when set to "Auto Sense" switching. Is there a fix for this?
A:

Auto Sense is intended to be used only as a last resort. RS232 and IR control are very robust formats. Some source devices send signals from their output even when in standby mode. This can cause false triggers for auto sensing circuits. Therefore, for the most reliable method of switching, we highly recommend RS232 or IR control.
